In seven days... I will be a (gasp!) Dad. I am not sure if this is something that I am ready for but is any guy ever ready for this? But before I go into a long spiel about how my life is about to change, lets talk about the here and now.
I am happily married to my beautiful wife and we have two dogs. We live in an awesome house, in an awesome neighborhood in the "Bible Belt" of the great USA. I own my own business and my wife works for a local hospital. We have an average middle class life. We do what we want, when we want, most of the time. Life is good...
Now back to the baby...
This baby was a "surpise" to the both of us. But we had been married for over a year, had already been to Europe twice last year, and had gotten to do most of the things we wanted to do, so we decided that we would give this parenting thing a try. (There wasn't any talk about not having the baby. There was just time for us to adjust to the reality in front of us.) Fast forward nine months and here we are... 7 days until induction, unless the little man decides to come out early.
I am preparing for the coming child by finishing up chores and tasks around the house to keep the "nesting" instinct of my wife to a minimum. Along with that I decided to jump start my "sympathy weight" fat loss plan with a cleanse. I am using "MASTER CLEANSE". It is an app on the iPhone and it requires me to drink a 32 oz. saltwater cleanse and then to drink "lemonade" all day. Needless to say that after the colon explosion of the saltwater cleanse I am less than excited to drink the so called lemonade. The next few days should be interesting...
